Despite a family history of diabetes, Jill has been able to balance her blood sugar and lose weight all WITHOUT the use of medication. She specializes in helping people with diabetes balance blood sugar, lose weight and boost their brain health so they can avoid diabetic complications, such as type 3 diabetes also known as Alzheimers, allowing them to live a fearless and exhilarating life. She grew up in Calgary and after 35 years in Nova Scotia has returned with her husband Bruce and dog Bindi.
Blood sugar and diabetes was never on my radar until I was unexpectedly diagnosed when I was pregnant! I wasn't even sure how this was possible as no one ever talked about it. I immediately felt overwhelmed with fear. Was I losing control of my health? Would I be facing years of insulin injections? Would I experience neuropathy?! The following 5 years consisted of on and off weight gain, needles, struggling with the right foods and attempting to balance my health issues. My weight and my emotions were a jumble. I felt completely disempowered and out of control!
That is until I figured out how to regain control of my health by balancing my blood sugar, losing the excess weight, and gaining more mental clarity. I was able to overcome the bouts of depression I was facing and increase my energy. The key thing I learned was that the solution wasn't another diet and that the problem wasn't something wrong with me! The solution was in my hands all along! I learned that my health was actually within my control and that gave me so much more energy. Right then and there, my healing started.
